Otto sat back in his chair, a throne really, taking a long satisfied draw on his cigarette. The whole Koln affair had worked out better than he could have hoped. The Needle gun had worked better than expected, though the ammunition usage was far higher than one would wish. The crowning achievement however was defeating the vaulted Britannic Empire. Oh a small affair to be sure and they would be back despite their undertakings in the peace agreement, but the real benefit was the effect on the other Germanic states, From the little Grand Duchy of Schwatzberg to the Saxo-Polish their ambassadors had queued up to deliver 'heartfelt' messages of friendship!

Otto did not believe then of course, it was just part of the complex diplomatic play of the Germanic courts but it did mean that Keller was finally being noticed and account being taken of her wishes.
