The next meeting of the Council would not be a good one perhaps the Crown Prince would need a scapegoat and it might well be him, Garrod had already resigned. Perhaps he could avoid too much censure if he could offer a solution to the accursed Needle Gun. Now where was that letter from the American Mr. Gatling? And as for any undertaking to not interfere, well he knew how long His majesty and the Crown prince would be bound by that.
